What is it? Why is it Crucial?
Sectona Technologies is pleased to have earned a Notable Mention in the 2021 Gartner APAC Context Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management for its PAM solution.
In order to formulate the report, Gartner Inc., a Stamford, Connecticut-based technology research and consulting company, acquired from its editors and correspondents worldwide a list of organizations that cater to the Privileged Access Management (PAM) market.
The research company evaluated each contender on several key aspects, including continuous discovery, credential management, session management, privileged task automation (PTA), among others, pertaining to privileged accounts.
The result is a list of some of the leading vendors that not only incentivize the implementation of PAM solutions but also enable intelligent and innovative ways to go about it.
The research company defines the privileged access management (PAM) market “as a foundational security technology to protect accounts, credentials, and operations that offer an elevated (“privileged”) level of access.”
Per the estimations, in 2020, the PAM software market in the Asia/Pacific region was greater than $250 million, representing approximately 15% of the global market. It grew by about 10% across both the mature and emerging Asia/Pacific economies last year. The rapid growth signifies the massive potential for PAM vendors in the region.
Now that economy seems to be recovering amid the pandemic, buyers are interested in further automation. They are looking at a software’s ability to adapt in managing privileged access for heterogeneous environments. IAM-focused security and risk management (SRM) leaders are evaluating features and technologies that support the highest levels of adaptability.
According to the report, “Sectona offers PASM capabilities, PEDM capabilities for Windows and also a remote access functionality on the same platform. Sectona focuses on the regulated financial services sector and also offers its product as a managed service offering. The vendor also possesses a strong partner channel network across Asia/Pacific.”
Sectona continues to grow its revenue, team, and customer base by addressing the biggest cybersecurity threats and catering to market demands with its solutions.
Speaking on the special mention, our CEO Nitish Kumar emphasizes, “When it comes to misused privileges, stolen credentials, and compromised remote access, among others, we strive to provide a seamless and simplified approach to prevent potential breaches. The Sectona Security Platform enables enterprises to extend privilege security across cloud, server, DevOps and endpoint device environments.”
He continues, “We are thrilled that our solution has been recognized in the Magic Quadrant Report. The notable mention is a testament to our perseverance and the faith our customers have in us. We will continue to work towards making Privileged Access Management a priority, as it so direly needs to be.”
