At Sectona, we endeavour to continuously build a cutting-edge Privileged Access Management (PAM) system that scales with your access security needs. Focusing on this, we have bundled our PAM version 4.2.0 with many new features.

PAM version 4.2.0 is very user-friendly and is our most efficient release yet. Let us now look at the list of key additions and enhancements.

  • Enhanced Performance with MySQL Core Engine Update

Sectona PAM version 4.2.0 comes with an updated MySQL core engine version for high-performing databases. This update will let you utilize the vaulting capabilities at scale.

  • Enhanced Performance with MySQL Core Engine Update

We have made comprehensive changes to the reporting capability to give you a more customizable user experience. These updates provide a clearer picture of the privileged user and asset activities.

We have added the “User Status” option to the “User & User Group” and “Asset Version” to the “Asset(s)” base data. Also, we included the “Comment” and “Ticket No.” to session-related reports, such as Session Metadata (last 24 hours), Session Activities (last 24 hours), Session Metadata – Blocked (last 24 hours), and Collaborated Sessions (last 24 hours).

  • Core System Update

The latest version of Sectona PAM supports multiple host names in the application node hostname for cluster configuration. We have also added a new system-defined access type as “RDP (Admin Console)” to get the direct admin console of Windows Server to simplify server access and management further.

Now, with PAM version 4.2.0, you can configure custom Java scripts to support the SSO process in browser-based access type. This can make it easier to integrate with other systems and applications.

In addition to the primary system updates, we have added Trails for tag details, asset discovery (for Active Directory), user group mapping, account group mapping, and user role management in system trails and respective UI. Also, you can now get the notification types for Session Reviewed, User Group Created, User Group Modified, and User Group Deleted.

  • Improved Session Management

Session management is enhanced now! We have added several significant updates to the Session Management capability of Sectona PAM version 4.2.0.

Key-based account management provides a centralized and secure way to manage user sessions. In this version of Sectona PAM, we have extended the capability to support key-based account management for (Just in Time) JIT access on Unix-based assets. This can help in improved security and efficiency.

Also, MFA is now available for SSH and SFTP-based sessions to make user sessions more secure than ever before. The PAM version 4.2.0 can configure MFA for every new session in asset security settings, providing all-around asset security. In addition, we have added the option to bypass the session proxy and web proxy on a per-asset basis.

Furthermore, Sectona PAM version 4.2.0 will help you,

  • Filter or view sessions based on review status and play or export session video logs from the archive.
  • Get the application node details in the session view.
  • Obtain an improved playback quality for SSHD proxy sessions and videos.
  • Customize the session window title for over-browser access types.
  • Leverage centralized live session monitoring and collaboration support.
  • Other Crucial Features Coming with Sectona PAM Version 4.2.0

We focus on making your PAM user experience optimal with Sectona. Hence, every minute detail matters to us. Here are a few more critical upgrades with Sectona PAM version 4.2.0.

User Management: We have added a new column called “Account Group” in the user’s View Entitlements option. This can provide detailed information about a user’s account and associated groups.
