It’s hard to believe it’s already December! As the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment and reflect on the milestones we’ve reached together in 2024.

Great Beginnings & Remarkable Recognitions

January kicked off with an exciting milestone! We were honoured to be named the Customers’ Choice in the 2024 Gartner® Peer Insights™ Voice of the Customer for PAM. This is the second consecutive year that we have received this distinction. This early recognition fuelled our commitment to delivering even better access and endpoint security.

During the year, we earned another significant recognition: the “Best Cybersecurity Vendor” award by the prestigious CSG Awards. We are truly grateful to have received this honour at Dubai’s coveted GISEC Global 2024.

Sectona Synergy: A Journey to Protect Modern Infra Access

This year, we introduced Sectona Synergy, our exclusive event series, to foster innovative and bright ideas for solving modern infrastructure access challenges. As the name suggests, Sectona Synergy explores the synergy between industry-specific cybersecurity requirements and unique business needs.

The event is designed to bring together industry leaders, innovators, and partners on a single stage to discuss distinct perspectives, address key challenges and explore tailored solutions.

With one-on-one meetings, roundtable discussions, and product demos, Sectona Synergy enables attendees to share their thoughts, experiences, and expectations.

Our 2024 tour covered Riyadh, Doha, Amman, and Bengaluru, and we aim to extend it to many other cities in the coming year.

An Eventful Year!

2024 gave us the opportunity to connect with cybersecurity innovators, leaders, and enthusiasts from around the globe at dynamic events and workshops. Engaging with security implementors and hearing their unique needs gave us the edge to drive even more impactful innovations in the endpoint and access security arena.

Here’s a look at a few highlights from some of the world’s top cybersecurity events this year.

Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit 2024, Dubai & Mumbai

Our first event of the year started on a positive note. Our reception and recognition at the Gartner SRM event in Dubai and Mumbai fuelled our energy for the year. Meeting security professionals, listening to their needs, and understanding their new year’s security goals have helped us build more resilient solutions, as always.

Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC) Global 2024, Dubai

As the proud exhibitor at the Middle East’s largest cybersecurity expo, GISEC Global 2024, Dubai, we showcased innovative access and endpoint security solutions, met amazing people and exchanged thoughts with industry leaders.

15th e-Crime and Cybersecurity Congress, Abu Dhabi

Our sponsorship of the 15th edition of the e-Crime and Cybersecurity Congress event series strengthened our association with the series. We are glad to have met old friends, industry leaders, and cybersecurity experts at the event. Looking forward to meeting them again in the future.

ICT Security Conference, Rome

Our first event in Europe, ICT Security Forum 2024, Rome, brought us closer to our regional partners and customers. Industry experts gave us a warm welcome. Our showcase of the Sectona Security Platform gained a good interest among the audience and helped us to listen to region-specific security needs. We look forward to meeting more peers in the future and building innovative access and endpoint security to solve unique challenges.

Black Hat MEA 2024, Riyadh

Cybersecurity’s global stage, Black Hat MEA 2024, took place in November in Riyadh. We had a successful presence at the event, which was filled with productive interactions and meaningful connections with amazing people from around the world. The Sectona Security Platform’s unique features and customer success stories garnered noteworthy recognition and interest among the audience.

Annual Information Security Summit (AISS) 2024

Closing the year at an event as influential as the AISS 2024 by DSCI in Delhi felt amazing. With the presence of a diverse set of stakeholders, the event was characterised by several thought-provoking themes, topics, and sub-topics. We are glad to have witnessed the growing cybersecurity awareness and interest among our peers in India in building security resilience.

From Skill Up Sessions to Webinars

We prioritize staying connected with our customers and partners and enabling them to build a robust security posture. This year, we presented personalized webinars and hosted skill-up sessions to answer critical questions, share ideas, understand expectations, and listen to opinions. Topics ranged from managing privilege management delivery and adoption for the modern workforce to securing privileged access for core admins, remote users, and developers.

We also held Connect & Upskill sessions this year, during which we shared strategies for building robust security with the Sectona Security Platform and the solution’s latest developments.

We Have a New Address!

2024 is a special year for us for many reasons, and one milestone that stands out is our new office in Europe!

We’re excited to announce that we now have a new home in the UK. Several prominent companies in the region are choosing Sectona for their PAM and EPM needs. This exciting step brings us even closer to our customers and helps us to better serve their security needs.

What’s New with the Sectona Security Platform?

We are committed to going beyond conventional security approaches and continuously augmenting the Sectona Security Platform with new features. This year, we have introduced several updates to our platform.

To start with, we have added new language options for users to choose from, and enhanced password fill-ins.

We have also introduced several enhancements, including live session monitoring for RDP and SSH, a smoother database access interface, flexible MFA options, and the ability to bypass the WSSL proxy when routing through LAN.

System log forwarding has been enhanced with new features, including replacing asset, account, and user events with operational events and adding a session closure event.

Additionally, we have introduced support for OpenLDAP authentication, SAML-based user login, SAML server logout, and updated session unlock and MFA validation window titles for launcher-based sessions.
