It is the year’s end, and we eagerly await another new year to cherish our lives. 2022 was a wonderful year for us, our partners, and our customers. We’ve shared multiple posts covering PAM, endpoint security, and the domain as a whole this year. But this article is special – it’s about us! Here’s a glimpse of what happened in Year 2022.
Sectona in MEA
We opened a new office in Dubai! The MEA region became our extended home in 2022 with many well-known enterprises choosing Sectona’s Security Platform after a thorough vetting process. We also had multiple well-respected partners joining us this year, many bringing mutiple decades worth of experience to the Sectona fold.
With more organisations understanding the need for PAM, we foresee a further maturing of the cybersecurity market in the region. In 2023, Sectona Dubai will see increased hiring. With our efforts, we hope to stay even closer to all our customers and partners and witness growth together. Sectona PAM 4.2.0
Going beyond the conventional PAM approach and constantly augmenting the Sectona Security Platform with new features is something we strive to do. We rolled out three releases this year, with 4.2.0 being the latest. The latest version of Sectona PAM comes with upgraded support options in session management and various custom capabilities in system management. v4.2.0 lets users configure custom Java scripts, MFA support for SSH and SFTP-based sessions, MFA support for every new connection and many more.
In addition, v4.2.0 has upgraded password management, user management, asset management, reporting, vaulting, and workflow abilities.
Added Advantage with Privileged Account Analytics (PAA) Integration
Sectona’s PAA module is based on user behaviour and session logging. It is built with proprietary algorithms to detect anomalies and critical attack vectors on target Unix and Linux system access. The PAA module helps enterprises by highlighting threats such as brute force login attempts, out-of-PAM access, pass-the-hash attacks, golden ticket attacks, and compromised servers.

Sectona University
In 2022, we launched our new knowledge portal, Sectona University, to help cyber security enthusiasts acquire security expertise. The learning modules in the portal are bundled with courses, which give learners hands-on experience in implementing IAM and PAM strategies.
It is not just that! Sectona University also provides certified courses directly from Sectona, with constant updates, refreshes, and ongoing quizzes that’ll ensure your team is always up to date with our products and your implementation.
Honours and Awards 2022
Gartner Inc. recognised us with the Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice distinction in their Voice of the Customer review. We also entered the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for PAM for the first time with an honourable mention in the 2022 edition. Also, KuppingerCole recognised us as a challenger in their Leadership Compass report for CIEM and DREAM vendors.
Mumbai – Our Home
Mumbai has been our home ever since we founded the company in 2017. We moved to our current address in the middle of the year – the old space was too small for the team that we were building! Our new office is 4 times the size of our older one (and is currently filling fast!) and offers some fantastic views of the city. Do visit us :
2022 also gave us the opportunity to expand to new regions, with new partners and customers from parts of the world we hadn’t visited before.
