Sectona Mobile is used as an easy Multi-Factor Authentication mechanism to authenticate users logging into the Spectra PAM application with the use of instantly generated offline OTP’s or through Push Authentication mechanism. You can also approve access requests on the go for the requests sent to your Android device.

App OTP does not require an internet connection. You can open the Sectona Mobile App & key in the OTP generated while logging in to Spectra PAM. Once you click on login after entering the username & password, you will be prompted for a dual factor authentication at which point, you can enter the OTP.

For configuring the App OTP as your means of authentication, perform the following steps:

  1. Configure UID or click on Scan QR Code
  2. Once the UID is configured successfully, the OTP screen will appear with an instantly generated OTP
  3. Enter the OTP & confirm registration

Push Authentication

Push Authentication requires an internet connection. Once you click on login after entering username & password in Spectra PAM, you’ll get a login request sent to your phone. When the notification shows up on your screen, tap the Approve or Deny action.

Similarly, when a user has requested access, a notification will be sent to your phone (provided you are an authorized approver within Spectra PAM). If the request is legitimate, you can tap on Approve action. If you get a request you weren’t expecting & sense that it may be a fraudulent request, tap the Deny action.

For enabling Push Authentication as the valid means of authentication & for enabling workflow approval rights, perform the following steps:

  1. Click on the user icon on the top left corner of the App
  2. Select the preferred protocol
  3. Enter the IP address of the server where the application is hosted
  4. Enter login credentials
  5. Click on Login
